Super Dancer Winners List of All Seasons

Super Dancer is one of India’s most beloved kids’ dance reality TV shows. Airing on Sony Entertainment Television since 2016, the show gives young aspirants (children) a platform to showcase their dancing talent, pairing them with choreographers (Super Gurus), and grooming them to become “Dance Ka Kal” — the future of dance. The show mixes solo performances, duet performances with the guru, weekly eliminations based on audience votes, and emotional backstories. Judges critique and guide the contestants, hosts manage the flow, and viewers decide who stays. Over the seasons (“Chapters”), Super Dancer has grown in scale, creativity, and viewership.

Show Format

Here’s how Super Dancer works:

  • Auditions & Mega Auditions: Kids from all over India audition; a panel of judges selects those with potential. After several rounds, around ~12 contestants are chosen for the main show.
  • Super Gurus (Choreographers): Each selected child is paired with a professional choreographer who trains, choreographs, and also performs with the child in duet performances.
  • Weekly Performances: Typically, there are solo performances (e.g. Saturdays), and duet performances with the guru (e.g. Sundays). Judges comment & score; audience votes via SonyLiv or other mechanisms help decide who is safe.
  • Eliminations: Based on votes and judges’ feedback, one or more contestants are eliminated weekly until progression to the Grand Finale.
  • Finale & Winner: In the finale, the child (along with their guru) who has impressed most consistently and gained audience support is crowned the winner. Runners-up also get recognition/prize. Prize money and other gifts are awarded.

Here are short write-ups for each chapter of Super Dancer so far:

Super Dancer Chapter 1 (2016)

The very first season/chapter of Super Dancer premiered in September 2016. It introduced young talents paired with their Super Gurus, judged by Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor, and Anurag Basu. Hosted by Paritosh Tripathi and Rithvik Dhanjani, the format mixed solo and duet performances, with eliminations via audience voting. At the grand finale on 17 December 2016, Ditya Bhande from Mumbai (trained by guru Ruel Dausan Varindani) was crowned the winner. Yogesh Sharma (guru Vaibhav Ghuge) was the runner-up. The winner took home ~₹15 lakh and lots of love from viewers.

Super Dancer Chapter 2 (2017-2018)

Vaibhav Ghuge

The second chapter brought higher expectations. It began in late 2017, retaining judges Shilpa, Geeta, Anurag, and hosted again by Rithvik Dhanjani and Paritosh Tripathi, with Jay Bhanushali stepping in sometimes. The contestants gave varied styles: classical, folk, freestyle, etc. After a season full of choreographic variety and strong performances, Bishal Sharma (with guru Vaibhav Ghuge) won, while Ritik Diwakar (super guru Pratik Utekar) was runner-up. The prize stays consistent (~₹15 lakh) and the journey reinforced Super Dancer’s appeal for storytelling, growth, and emotional connector with kids dancing.

Super Dancer Chapter 3 (2018-2019)

Nishant Bhat

Chapter 3 raised the bar in terms of number of contestants (around 14–16), performance complexity, and expectation. Judges and hosts same as earlier. Rupsa Batabyal, a young girl from Kolkata, with guru Nishant Bhat, won the title; Tejas Varma with guru Tushar Shetty was runner-up. Solo and guru duets both captured attention. Rupsa’s classical and emotive dance styles impressed particularly. The season spanned many episodes and had strong consistency from winner and finalists, building an emotional bond with audience.

Super Dancer Chapter 4 (2021)

Tushar Shetty

After a break, Chapter 4 returned with new energy. Florina Gogoi from Jorhat, Assam, paired with guru Tushar Shetty, emerged winner in a finale that was widely watched. Pruthviraj Kongari was first runner-up. The competition had “Super 5” finalists including contestants from varied geographies. Judges stayed: Shilpa Shetty, Geeta Kapoor, Anurag Basu. Hosts again Paritosh Tripathi & Rithvik Dhanjani. Winner prize ~₹15 lakh; gurus also awarded. The season showcased not just technical dance but emotional performance, growth arcs, and high stakes.

Super Dancer Chapter 5 (2025)

Super Dancer Chapter 5 is upcoming (or just started), bringing fresh changes. One major one: the judges are Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Geeta Kapur, and newcomer Marzi Pestonji, replacing Anurag Basu. The host is Paritosh Tripathi. There are 12 young contestants, each with their choreographer. This season seems poised to emphasize emotional bonds, original performances, and pushing creative limits. Prize details and winner not yet confirmed. It marks a return after a hiatus, and fans are eager.

Looking Ahead

As of now, Super Dancer has completed four full chapters with winners crowned and is in its fifth. It’s part entertainment, part inspiration—these children not only dance, but grow in confidence, discipline, and artistry. Each season adds twists (e.g. varying number of contestants, episodes, introduction of new judges, changes in themes) so fans always have something fresh.
